Get to know Mrs. Chamberlain!

My name is Whitney Chamberlain and I am teaching 6th and 8th grade science this year.  This will be my third year teaching, all of which has been at HNMS.

I am married to my amazing husband Aaron, who is a Captain in the Air Force at Hurlburt Field.  We have a wonderful son named Reid who was born in March 2016.  We also have a toy poodle named Bentley.

I grew up in Ohio in a small town that has maybe 700 people and one stop light (which really isn't needed).  My high school was surrounded by corn fields and we even had days where students could drive their tractors to school.  In high school, I played volleyball and basketball and was involved in many clubs and organizations.  I graduated high school in 2007.

I went to Wilmington College in Ohio and got my bachelor's degree in 2010.  There I was involved in Student Government Association, served on a few boards, and was a tutor for several classes.  It was being a tutor that made me realized I wanted to be a teacher.  I loved helping students.  So after a few years working in banking and accounting, I got my masters in education in 2014.

In my free time, I loved to do puzzles, sew, and cross stitch.  I am not a big sports fan but I do love to watch Ohio State football and Dodgers baseball.
